E-mail Me Lieutenant Glinko joined the department in 1980 and worked as a patrol officer along with assignments to the Special Operations Unit and Traffic Safety Bureau. In 1986 he was promoted to Sergeant and has been assigned as Special Operations Commander, Assistant Patrol Division Commander, Task Force Commander and B-Squad Commander. In 1995 he was promoted to Lieutenant and is currently assigned as the Support Services Division Commander. During his career he has received numerous departmental awards including two Medals of Honor, one Exceptional Duty Award, four Honorable Service Awards, three Grand Cordons, a Program Development Award, an Educational Achievement Award and the Mt. Olive Police Physical Fitness Award (1998). He has also received the Lions Club Award for Distinguished and Heroic Service (1987). Glinko holds an A.S. in Criminal Justice from County College of Morris. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University Traffic Institute's School of Police Staff and Command, West Point's Command and Leadership Program and Northwestern University's Executive Management Program. Glinko is credited for developing the domestic violence Crisis Response Team (CRT) as well as the automated external defibrilator (AED) program. |
