Officer Scholtz started with the department in 1981 in the Patrol Division. He was reassigned to the Detective Bureau from 1987 through 1997. At that time he served in the department's Support Services Division. Officer Scholtz was then assigned to the Communications Division where he assisted in supervising the police dispatchers. Officer Scholtz also served as a department Arson Investigator. He had also received specialized training in the areas of 911, the Criminal Justice Information System and a six-week Crime Scene Technician course. During his career Scholtz had received several departmental awards include a Grand Cordon, a Lifesaving award, a Meritorious Service Award and the 2004 Knights of Columbus Council 6100 Shield Award. |
