Email Me After serving in the United States Marine Corp, Detective Jim Dunn started his career with Mount Olive in 1985 as a patrol officer. In 1986 he was assigned to the Morris County Prosecutor's Narcotics Task Force before returning to the Mount Olive Narcotics Unit in 1987. In 2006 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He is currently assigned to the Investigation Division. Detective Dunn has received numerous departmental awards including the 2000 Knights of Columbus Shield Award, a Medal of Honor, an Exceptional Duty Award, a Meritorious Service Award, four Honorable Service Awards, two Grand Cordons, a Military Service Award, and an Educational Achievement Award. Detective Dunn graduated from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Course as well as the D.E.A. Narcotics Enforcement course. He has received additional training in homicide investigation and is an FBI trained hostage negotiator. Dunn holds an A.S. in Criminal Justice from the County College of Morris. |
