Officer Martini is a graduate from the State Police Basic Training Course in Sea Girt and worked as a Corrections Officer for Rahway State Prison before joining the State Police Marine and Aviation Bureau. Officer Martini joined the department in December 1986 and currently is assigned to the Patrol Division. Officer Martini has served assignments in the Investigations Bureau, the Special Operations Unit and the Morris County Fugitive Unit Task Force. Officer Martini has received numerous departmental awards including a Meritorious Service Award, three Live Saving Awards, two Honorable Service Awards, four Grand Cordons and a Program Development Award. He has also received the Morris County 200 Club Life Saving Award, the Flanders Fire Department Life Saving (2000) and the 1999 Knights of Columbus Shield Award for his involvment in the arrest of a bank robbery suspect. Martini is also credited with solving numerous burglaries which netted numerous suspects involved in over 45 burglaries in Morris and Sussex County.
