Detective Turner joined the department in December 1999 and worked in the Patrol Division until his assignement to the Investigations Division in 2011. He serves as one of the department's certified Drug Recognition Evaluators and is a member of the Honor Guard. Detective Turner's departmental awards include a Life Saving Award, a Meritorious Service Award, six Honorable Service Awards, three Grand Cordons, a Military Service Award, a Physical Fitness Award and an Educational Achievement Award. He is a graduate of Penn State University and holds a B.S. in Finance. Det. Turner served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Rangers and is a veteran of Desert Storm. He is also a past President of the Mount Olive Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #122.
