Sergeant Anthony was hired on September 1, 2000 and is a graduate of the Morris County Police Academy's 56th Basic Class. Anthony was promoted to sergeant on August 1, 2016 and previously served as a Corporal within the department. He was the recipient of the Morris County 200 Club Award upon his graduation and was also awarded the 2001 Shield Award from the Knights of Columbus Council 5410 for the arrest of three people and the seizure of 33 pounds of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop. Sergeant Anthony's departmental awards include an Exceptional Duty Award, multiple Lifesaving Awards, multiple Grand Cordon Awards, multiple Honorable Service Award, an Educational Achievement Award, a Program Development award and multiple Physical Fitness Awards. He currently serves as a Physical Training Instructor for both the Morris County Police Academy and the department. In addition, Sergeant Anthony instructs the Basic Police Class in crash investigations, Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC) and is a department Field Training Officer.

Sergeant Anthony is certified by the Northwestern University, Center for Public Safety in Crash Investigation I, II, and Vehicle Dynamics. He is also certified in Accident Reconstruction by the Institute of Police Management, University of North Florida and assists the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Vehicular Homicide Unit investigate serious & fatal motor vehicle crashes. He also possesses a certification in Basic Traffic Engineering from Rutgers University, Center for Government Services. Anthony is certified as a bicycle police officer and is a member of the
Police Unity Tour . He is a Child Safety Seat Technician and is part of the department's Honor Guard.

In 2007, Sergeant Anthony made a recommendation and was the catalyst behind the Mount Olive Police Department upgrading our
fleet to reflect a traditional Black and White police vehicle. Additionally in 2007, he and another officer were assigned as a Dual Squad Officer (DSO). The DSO's work during periods of high call volume and are perform high impact patrol. During these times, the DSO's target aggressive driving, selective enforcement areas, perform high visability patrol and assist with routine calls for service.

Anthony graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He is Community Policing certified and has volunteered his time as an Assistant Advisor with a neighboring town’s Police Explorer Post. In addition, Sergeant Anthony serves as the Deputy Coordinator of the Mount Olive Township, Office of Emergency Management. He has served in the Patrol Division, the Communications & Records Division, and the
Support Services Division.
